Jinnifer S. Jeresek

Professional Experience

Jinnifer joined Karnopp Petersen in 2006. During her final year of law school, she served as the head law clerk for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Portland, Oregon, where she prosecuted federal misdemeanors.

Jinnifer attended Montana State University on a women’s basketball scholarship. After graduating from college, Jinnifer served as a legislative aide for United States Senator Max Baucus in Washington, D.C. This experience spurred Jinnifer’s interest in the law and led her to Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College.  There, Jinnifer served on the Editorial Board of Lewis & Clark Law Review, was research assistant to Dean James Huffman, was a student bar association officer, and was captain of the law school basketball team.

Professional & Community Activities

Jinnifer is a United Way of Deschutes County board member and an advisory board member for the Assistance League of Bend.  Jinnifer was appointed to the Oregon State Bar Public Service Advisory Committee in addition to being a member of the J.R. Campbell Inns of Court, the Oregon Women Lawyers, Cascade Women Lawyers and the Deschutes County Bar Association and playing on city league basketball and soccer teams. 

Personal Interests

Jinnifer’s hobbies include skiing, fishing, horseback riding, golfing and basketball.
