Kimberly A. Medford
Professional Experience
As a native Oregonian, prior to joining Karnopp Petersen, Kimberly practiced with Stoel Rives, LLP in Portland. She focuses her practice on corporate law, entity formation, real estate, securities, finance and mergers & acquisitions. Her practice includes serving public and private entities and individuals.
While attending law school, she clerked for the Oregon Department of Justice, Appellate Division, and the Marion County District Attorney. Kimberly also served as Committee Administrator to the House Committee on Trade & Economic Development during the 2003 session of the Oregon State Legislature. Prior to law school, Kimberly held several positions with the Oregon State legislature and the Oregon Youth Authority.
Professional & Community Activities
Kimberly was a member of the Leadership Bend Class of 2007 and currently serves on the board of the Leadership Bend Foundation; was appointed by Governor Kulongoski as a member of the Oregon Real Estate Board in 2007; is the current president of the local Women for Winesense chapter; is a past chair of Oregon Agri Business Council Denim and Diamonds Committee; and a past board member of Oregon State Fair Foundation. She co-authored the 2002 Supplement to Definition of Security; Advising Oregon Business (Oregon State Bar 2002); 2003 Supplement to Forms including Resolutions Authorizing a Sale of Business, Letter of Intent for Sale of Business Assets or Common Stock, Agreement for the Sale and Purchase of Business Assets, Stock Purchase Agreement and Acquisition Due Diligence Checklist; Advising Oregon Business (Oregon State Bar 2004).
